Barbara McCready, 55

HARRINGTON — Barbara McCready passed away Feb. 4 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Leo DeWitt and Audrey DeWitt.

Mrs. McCready worked as a medical records clerk at the Choptank Community Health Center for over 13 years.

Mrs. McCready was an avid reader who enjoyed scrapbooking and crocheting.  She often liked to play bingo.  She was a loving, independent and strong  willed woman who would tell it like it is. Being the youngest of 14 children, Mrs. McCready understood the love of family. She deeply loved her grandchildren who were a big part of her life. She will be missed by all.

In addition to her father, Mrs. McCready is preceded in death by her grandson, Devin Campbell; and brothers, Tom, Robert, and Ronald DeWitt.

Mrs. McCready is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Charles “Mac” McCready of Harrington; daughters, Tracey Campbell of Baltimore and Heather J. Barkley of Smyrna; mother, Audrey DeWitt; granddaughters, Madison McCready, Kayla Campbell and Ashlynn Barkley; brothers, Richard and Charles DeWitt; sisters, Debbie Wissig, Mary DeWitt, Betty Sexton, Shirley Burket, Ethel Howell, Martha Harris and Nancy Best.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, Feb. 9th, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 1 PM. A visitation for family and friends  will take place 1 hour prior.
